Max joined TOM in 2013 and became a Director in 2021.

He leads TOM’s Audit, Risk, Compliance and Legal recruitment teams and manages Executive Search mandates for some of the company’s most valued clients.

The key roles Max recruits include, but are not limited to: Chief Risk Officer, General Counsel, Chief Controls Officer, Chief Security Officer, Chief Auditor, and Chief Sustainability Officer.

Between 2014 and 2024, Max and his team successfully placed over 1,000 experienced professionals into Australian corporates, and they are widely regarded as the leading Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit recruitment team in the country.

Outside of TOM, Max is a passionate musician and mountain biker — either playing his saxophone expressively (and loudly) or whizzing through the trees on his "iron horse."

If Max could spend a year learning a new skill, it would be: patience — but if it takes an entire year, he’s not interested!

David (better known at TOM as ‘Feks’) moved from Melbourne to Sydney in 2014, joining TOM in 2016 after building a strong reputation within Sydney’s financial services recruitment market.

David recruits within TOM’s Audit, Risk, and Compliance team, specialising in internal audit, IT audit, IT risk, and operational risk roles. He has a strong focus on transitioning candidates with Big Four consultancy backgrounds into senior analyst, manager, and senior manager positions within Australia’s leading financial services institutions and insurance companies.

He consistently helps clients find candidates who combine technical expertise, interpersonal capability, and professional drive — ensuring cultural fit and future leadership potential.

David feels fortunate to work for a business that truly values him and takes the time to deeply understand both personal and professional drivers — a principle he applies to his candidates as well.

David’s passion and genuine care for the people he works with — from his TOM colleagues to clients and candidates — shines through in the selfless advice he’s often heard imparting. Outside of work, David enjoys everything sport-related.

If David could spend a year learning a new skill, it would be: three things — surfing, driving an F1 car, and flying a helicopter!

Jade moved from Ireland to Australia in 2019 and joined TOM in 2022.

With recruitment experience across Healthcare and Construction sectors, she has worked on both the Markets & Investments and Financial Services Accounting & Finance idesks before transitioning to Audit, Risk and Compliance in July 2025.

Jade is curious, passionate about understanding candidates, and thrives on making meaningful connections.

Outside work, Jade can be found at the gym, the beach, gigs, or dancefloors — often with a glass of wine in hand!

If Jade could spend a year learning a new skill, it would be: learning guitar to play all her favourite indie classics.

Sophie joined TOM’s Audit, Risk, and Compliance desk in 2018 after three and a half years recruiting within professional services in Sydney and her hometown of London.

After graduating in Law from the University of Leeds, Sophie opted for what she felt would be a far more exciting career in recruitment.

She places junior to senior-level candidates across compliance and financial services roles.

Sophie is passionate about providing real value to both her clients and candidates — and about making them smile in the process!
Her bright, bubbly nature and positive outlook make her a genuine delight to be around.

If Sophie could spend a year learning a new skill, it would be: learning to dance — all styles, but especially salsa.
