It was a positive first half of 2025 compared to the previous18 months.

Recent recruitment trends:

  • seen an increase in daily rate contract roles, particularly junior roles like PMO support, BA, project managers and product owners
  • there's been a slight uptick in day rates compared to 12 months ago
  • companies  are still being cautious with hiring meaning fewer senior roles like program management, heads of and GM level and these are going direct/through word of mouth rather than recruitment agencie

Skills in demand:

  • cyber security across all industries
  •  insurance sector – knowledge of policy systems & claims systems
  • Data – migration, quality and governance

Advice for Candidates

  • ensure you have a great CV
  • build a strong LI profile
  • invest in networks – not just recruiters but also with past colleagues and employers

Advice for Clients

Whilst it's an employers' market, it's important to that the company has a strong EVP and a quick and smooth hiring process.
