Senior Financial Analyst - Retail

TOM People and I are working with a large retail group that operates over 60 stores across Australia & New Zealand to recruit an experienced Senior Financial Analyst with exceptional commercial business partnering skills. Backed by one of the largest PE firms in the world, group is growing significantly with heavy investment towards ERP implementations and potential IPO.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, this role will partner with GMs of the ANZ business, providing actionable insights to further the group’s strategy.

Role responsibilities:

• Partner with business leaders to build and present annual budget and forecasts.

• Work closely with the ELT to build and drive strategic financial plans and monitor short and long term KPIs.

• Prepare models and business cases, commentary on variance analysis and financial results to align long term growth.

• Conduct competitor analysis, market trends and provide commercial insights for the sales, marketing and finance executives.

• Utilise tools such as Power BI and TM1 to analyse business performance.

• Assist with multiple projects involving system and process improvements as a finance SME.

• Recognise risks and commercial opportunities for the group.

• Ad hoc analysis as required by the senior management.

• Continuous improvements of analysis and reporting.

About you:

• CA or CPA qualification with over 3 years of audit and 3 years of commercial partnering experience.

• Retail/ FMCG industry commercial experience is ideal

• Confident communication skills and problem-solving ability
