About the Company
Join a major Australian infrastructure organisation undergoing continual transformation. The finance function supports a complex commercial environment with significant customer, asset and revenue streams. The team is high-performing, fast-paced and tightly connected to core business operations.
The Opportunity
This 6 month contract role suits a technically strong accountant with 3 to 4 years’ audit experience plus 1 to 2 years in a similar financial accounting role. Candidates with working holiday visas (WHV) with 1 to 2 years of commercial experience is encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver accurate month-end accounting, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and full P&L reporting in line with Australian Accounting Standards.

Manage complex revenue recognition and cost allocation processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy and alignment to accounting policy.

Lead financial analysis, including variance analysis, flash reporting, and commentary across financial and non-financial metrics.

Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports, supporting budgeting, forecasting and consolidated performance insights.

Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors, ensuring timely provision of audit support and technical documentation.

Oversee fixed asset registers, impairment assessments and capital reporting in accordance with internal governance requirements.

Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and reporting enhancements across finance systems and month-end workflows.
About You
-
ACA/CA/CPA qualified with 3–4 years’ audit experience plus commercial exposure in accounting or analysis.

Strong technical grounding in IFRS/AASB, revenue recognition and financial control.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with complex data and tight deadlines.

High attention to detail, strong Excel skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
